Put the skills under pressure
Once the team has learned and practised the essential skills, delegates must apply them together in a series of realistic scenarios.
The situation introduces time pressure, competing demands and imperfect information. The team must:
- Assess what has happened
- Establish its priorities
- Allocate responsibilities
- Communicate clearly
- Treat casualties
- Request appropriate assistance
- Adapt as the situation develops
The purpose is not to catch people out. It is to demonstrate how simple skills can become more difficult when pressure rises—and how planning, communication and teamwork improve performance. More than team building
Participants leave with:
- Practical skills that could help them save a life
- Greater confidence to act in an emergency
- A better understanding of their team under pressure
- Clear lessons about communication and responsibility
- A meaningful shared experience they will remember
Each participant receives a Sandstone Save a Life certificate and is invited to join the Save a Life partnership.
This is not a conventional classroom first-aid course. It is an immersive team experience delivered by Sandstone operators with real emergency and high-pressure experience.
Extend the experience
Save a Life can be delivered as a standalone three-hour session or integrated with our Rescue Mission programme.
The integrated format introduces greater complexity, information overload and decision-making pressure. This allows teams to examine leadership, prioritisation, communication and resilience while applying genuine lifesaving skills.
The standalone three-hour Save a Life session costs £2000 plus VAT and expenses.
It can be delivered at our location near Stirling, at your workplace or as part of an off-site or company event.
